The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking an Applications Programmer Analyst to support court technology systems. You will work with SQL Server databases, create reports, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions with .NET technologies under guidance from senior staff.
Responsibilities include design, coding, testing, documentation, and collaboration with management and vendors to ensure reliable, secure applications for Judiciary users.
This is a responsible, independent, and technical position working under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer. This position will support applications and processes used by Administrative Office of the Courts’ users and the Judiciary. This position will work with experienced programming and technology staff to understand user needs, troubleshoot application issues, develop and test solutions, work with Microsoft SQL Server databases, create reports and templates, and help ensure that court technology systems remain reliable, secure and effective. Working relationships are established with a variety of personnel, including management and technology vendors. All assigned tasks should be performed at a high level of quality and in accordance with the Administrative Office of the Courts’ (AOC) policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Primary responsibilities of the Applications Programmer Analyst include the following: (1) Assist with analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems involving AOC applications, databases, queries, stored procedures, and SQL jobs; (2) Develop, modify, debug, test, and support applications using Microsoft .NET technologies under the direction of experienced programming staff.; (3) Create and maintain Crystal Reports based on established requirements and guidance; (4) Create and maintain technical documentation, programming artifacts, interfaces, configuration information, SQL jobs, and maintenance procedures. (5) Provide technical assistance and support to team members and end users as assigned; and (6) Participate in the development of new applications from analysis and design through coding, documentation, testing, and implementation; and (7) Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university in computer science, management information systems, information technology, or a related field.
Relevant education, coursework, internships, or training may be considered when evaluating a candidate's qualifications.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and technical business and computer programming periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
