Job summary

3M is seeking an Applications Engineer/Technologist to lead customer technical discussions, translate electrical requirements into feasible solutions, and develop BOMs for custom kits. The role emphasizes collaboration with manufacturing, service, and sales to ensure timely delivery and adherence to industry standards.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and experience in field/design roles, with strong knowledge of medium voltage equipment, CAD, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree must be completed and verified prior to start.
• Two (2) years of combined experience in field/design/project roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of medium voltage equipment and wiring is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer technical interactions to determine electrical requirements, timing, and delivery needs.
• Evaluate drawings and schedules to identify medium voltage solutions per application and standards.
• Develop Bills of Materials for each custom kit with cross-team coordination.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, customer service and sales to execute and manage project plans.
