Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Buffalo, New York. The role engages with customers on applications and solutions for motors, drives, gearboxes and related products, serving as the liaison between Allient Inc.

and customers, distributors, and reps. You will promote products, prepare quotes, analyze specifications, support field installations, and train internal staff on Allied Motion and Allient Inc. offerings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
3–8 years of work and/or intern/co-op experience with technical manufactured products and systems.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others at all levels.

Responsibilities

Promotes the value of Allied Motion and Allient Inc. products and services within the geographic territory.
Issue customer quotes and tracks the receipt of new orders; acts as day-to-day contact.
Develops sales volume, pricing and margin forecasts; adjusts for market changes.
Liaises to obtain engineering specifications and expedite material requisitions and production work orders.
Provides technical assistance to interpret and resolve procurement, manufacturing, installation and field problems.
Oversees product installation and trial operations and analyzes field issues related to installations.
