Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking an Applications Engineer to support the ADGHV business. You will provide pre- and post-sales technical support, assist design engineers with SiC power modules, and lead reference design efforts (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC) for aerospace and high-voltage applications.

This role requires strong knowledge of high-frequency power converters, EMI/EMC mitigation, and experience with Spice/PLECS simulations, PCB layout, and thermal management. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in EMI/EMC mitigation for switching power supplies.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout for high-speed, high-power apps.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to design reference and demonstration platforms for SiC power products.

Responsibilities

• Assist customer design engineers to incorporate Wolfspeed SiC power modules and provide remote and on-site support.
• Answer technical inquiries with proper documentation and timely feedback/analysis.
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for direct sales and distributors.
• Lead the design of reference and demonstration platforms for SiC power product applications.
• Develop materials for technical seminars, tradeshows and distributor training.
• Support new product launches with training for sales engineers and channel partners.
• Develop dynamic characterization platforms, gate driver platforms, and Spice/PLECS models.
• Consolidate customer requirements to define new products and enhancements.
