CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking an Applications Engineer to develop custom automation solutions while engaging customers across North America. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive proposals and understanding the unique challenges faced by customers in manufacturing.

This role requires a degree in engineering and 3-5+ years of experience in the automation industry. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and technical skills, as well as the ability to present effectively to various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of automation industry experience, preferably with direct experience in proposals.
• Ability to work with project teams and customers to design and estimate systems.
• Recognize factors such as timelines, materials, labor, and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to define requirements and generate concepts.
• Present proposals to customers emphasizing competitive advantages.
• Document technical requirements and oversee project plans.

Skills

Mechanical design drawing interpretation
