Job summary

Fi NOW in Sweden is seeking an Applications Engineer to support mmWave beamformer ICs and active antenna arrays for 5G, SATCOM, radar, and sensing.You will act as the key technical interface between product design teams and customers, helping to integrate ICs into real-world systems.

You’ll develop reference designs, calibration scripts, and evaluation boards, while collaborating with RF, mixed-signal, and software teams to ensure robust solutions and timely design-wins.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in mmWave ICs, phased arrays, and RF systems.
• Experience communicating with customers and translating needs into designs.
• Hands-on testing and measurement skills across RF chains and antenna systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers integrating mmWave beamformer ICs into antenna arrays.
• Develop and validate reference designs, evaluation boards, and calibration scripts.
• Characterize array-level performance across temperature and frequency bands.
• Support system-level design including RF signal chains, LO distribution, and SPI/I2C interfaces.
• Assist in debugging and root-cause analysis during customer bring-up.
• Produce application notes and training materials for customers and field teams.
• Contribute to demos, tradeshows, and design-win activities with marketing and BD teams.
