Job summary

Enerpac Tool Group (HYDRATIGHT) is seeking an Applications Engineer in Deer Park, TX. The role translates customer requirements into safe, manufacturable machining and field service solutions, owning the definition to execution readiness.

You will bridge Operations, Engineering, Field Services, and Commercial, ensuring feasibility, risk mitigation, and technical handover. Shift is Monday–Friday; in-office schedule with Friday work-from-home option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in machining, manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, or application engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience managing multiple technical workstreams and projects.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (typically 20–40%).
• Knowledge of design standards, documentation, and certification requirements.
• Experience with CAD software for design and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop optimized machining solutions, tooling plans, and process strategies.
• Analyze customer challenges and recommend improvements in cycle time, tool life, quality, and cost.
• Support product trials, testing, and validation activities.
• Document recommendations, test results, and best practices.
• Assist with early project costing and design-to-value decisions to maximize margin.
• Own technical handover from opportunity to Operations and Field Services.
• Validate readiness including tooling, sequencing, safety, and site constraints.
• Lead execution of projects through trials, process validation, and production release.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support during trials and execution.
• Collaborate with Operations, Field Services, Engineering, and Quality to improve readiness and outcomes.
