Job summary

Hexagon AB’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is offering Summer 2027 Application Engineer Intern positions in Irving, TX. The program targets students graduating in December 2027 or May/June 2028, with hands-on experience in customer support, software apps, and product demos.

The role may transition into a full-time Application Engineer after graduation. Interns will work with global teams, learn from experienced engineers, and gain exposure to metrology, manufacturing software, and smart

Qualifications

Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
Interest in engineering metrology and manufacturing technologies.
Foundational CAD/CAM knowledge, programming, or data analysis.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
On-site Irving, TX role.

Responsibilities

Support demonstrations of Hexagon’s measurement and manufacturing software to prospective customers.
Assist with technical evaluations, product testing, and configuration of applications.
Troubleshoot customer issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
Contribute to preparing training materials, documentation, and technical presentations.
Shadow engineers in customer engagements to learn how solutions are tailored to industry needs.
Participate in cross-functional projects bridging R&D, product management, and customer support.
Learn industry best practices in CAD/CAM, simulation, and data analysis.
