Job summary

Mastercam, based in the Phoenix, AZ area, seeks an Applications Engineer II to bridge technology and customer success. The role provides expert technical support, training, and solutions to Mastercam customers and internal teams across the West region.

You will analyze workflows, develop toolpaths, tutorials, and training materials, and deliver demonstrations and hands-on sessions for customers and partners. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in CAD/CAM programming, manufacturing, or application engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and manufacturing processes, including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including customer site visits, trade shows, and international events.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support to customers and channel partners by troubleshooting technical issues related to Mastercam products.

Your Role at a Glance

The Applications Engineer II plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and customer success. This role provides expert technical support, training, and solutions to Mastercam customers, and internal teams, helping users maximize the value of Mastercam products. The position supports the West region and is based in the Phoenix Metro Area, Arizona.

The Talents We're Seeking

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in CAD/CAM programming, manufacturing, or application engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and manufacturing processes, including milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including customer site visits, trade shows, and international events.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of machining processes and tooling.
• Experience with simulation software and post-processor customization.
• Familiarity with CRM tools, such as Salesforce and NetSuite.
