Job summary

Bel Fuse Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to diagnose and debug customer and supplier problems across software and hardware systems.

You will work with Quality, Design, and Manufacturing to implement corrective actions, support RMA/SCAR, and mentor junior staff. You will design and develop software applications to meet client specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions, analyze issues, and provide client guidance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of high-speed electronics design and manufacturability.
• 3–5 years in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Schematic Capture (ORCAD) or equivalent.
• High Speed PCB Layout, Organic and Ceramic Materials.
• Strong Electronic Circuit Failure Analysis Capability.
• Test Equipment Experience (O-scopes, DCA, BERT, Power Supplies).
• Hands-on Prototype Circuit Debugging experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality, Design Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to fulfill customers’ needs in a timely manner.
• Debug, Diagnose, Correct, and Document problems reported by customers, suppliers, or internal teams.
• Support Root Cause investigations and corrective actions as necessary.
• Support RMA and SCAR reporting for Quality department.
• Support product analysis, QUAL testing, and compliance versification for Design Engineering.
• Provide guidance for product/process corrective actions with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Work to improve Manufacturing processes to increase quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Participate in new product development with manufacturability design input.
• Mentor Engineers and Technicians.
• Design and develop software applications to meet client specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients.
• Conduct software testing and validation.
• Develop user manuals and training materials.
• Assist in the deployment and implementation of software solutions.
