Job summary

Eclipse Automation in Rock Hill, SC is seeking an Account Manager - Applications Engineer to join our sales team and help develop proposals and respond to RFQs. You will prepare cell layout drawings, liaise with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing groups for technical development, and assist in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment layouts, defining deliverables, and coordinating budgets with the Applications

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks; MS Office expert.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls.
• Familiar with CSA, ANSI and CE standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to deliver proposals under tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude and leadership by example.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ meetings on-site at the customer or in-house.
• Prepare cell layout drawings for RFQs.
• Liaise between mechanical, electrical, and assembly groups for concepts and cost estimates.
• Obtain supplier estimates for major material and equipment costs.
• Prepare equipment layouts and technical deliverables.
• Follow engineering, procurement & construction through to completion.
• Identify risks and mitigate their impacts.
• Provide design support for integrated components and assemblies.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to meet budgets and timelines.
• Attend escalation meetings as directed by Applications Manager.
