Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. in Wilmington, MA is seeking an Applications Engineer on the Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer Track.

You’ll start by learning the equipment alongside the assembly team and then move into a customer-facing role to support new projects and troubleshoot field challenges. You will develop expertise in ultrasonic metal welding, validate processes, and help customers achieve success with advanced manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity about machinery operation.
• Experience assembling, testing, maintaining, or troubleshooting industrial equipment is valued.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with PCs, Windows environments, pneumatics, electronics, and PLCs.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Learn systems by working with the assembly team.
• Develop expertise in ultrasonic metal welding processes and equipment.
• Partner with customers to develop and validate new applications.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues remotely and onsite.
• Support small production runs and process development activities.
• Create technical reports, application documentation, and customer training materials.
• Serve as a technical resource for internal engineering, design, and sales teams.
• Participate in customer visits and industry trade shows.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for support and project work.

Are you an early-career mechanical engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working hands-on with equipment, and interacting with customers? We're seeking an Applications Engineer to join a growing team specializing in advanced ultrasonic metal welding technology.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise from the ground up. You'll start by working closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to learn the equipment, processes, and technology firsthand. What We're Looking For
