Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technically skilled Applications Engineer/Sales Support professional to size, select, and configure control valves and actuators, while preparing strong technical and commercial proposals for regional sales teams. The role requires 3+ years in flow control equipment, experience with sizing software and ERP systems, and the ability to travel up to 25% for site visits and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in control valves, automated valves, actuation systems, or flow control equipment.
• Experience as Applications Engineer / Technical Inside Sales / Sales Support Engineer in flow control.
• Proficiency with sizing/selection software configurators and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform sizing, selection, and configuration of control valves, actuators, positioners, and automation accessories.
• Evaluate RFQs to generate complete technical and commercial proposals.
• Serve as a dedicated technical sales support resource for regional sales reps and key accounts.
• Calculate pricing based on product costs, manufacturing requirements, and market sourcing.
• Conduct technical order acceptance, engineering verification, and complete order prep for plant manufacturing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in control valves, automated valves, actuation systems, or flow control equipment.
• Prior experience as an Applications Engineer, Technical Inside Sales Representative, or Sales Support Engineer within flow control manufacturing or distribution.
• Proficiency with sizing/selection software configurators, ERP systems, and technical specification reviews.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed for site visits and sales support.
