Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, including its Applied Fluid Power division, is seeking an Application Engineer in the United States to design and deliver fluid power and electrification solutions. You will collaborate with the technical sales team and customers to translate needs into engineered concepts, drawings, and layouts.

This role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, customer relations, and project coordination from specification through to building, with training and career growth

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical fluid power experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, EET or MET.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks and standard schematics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical sales to specify customer needs and design solutions.
• Prepare quotes and present engineered fluid power solutions.
• Oversee project build including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical layouts.

As an Application Engineer with Applied Fluid Power, you’ll spend your time interacting with our technical sales team and customers to provide solutions to their fluid power and electrification needs. You will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention and sales results!

Applicants Should

• Have 3 years or more in technical fluid power.
• Have strong leadership and customer relations skills
• Be motivated not only in a team setting but also on an individual level
• Have a desire to utilize and enhance their overall skills
• Bachelors EE, ME, EET, or MET
• Welcome challenges including technical research.
• Proficiency in Autocad/Solidworks
• Understand and be able to create Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and layout drawings.
• Be able to contribute to electrification agenda.
