Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Greensboro, NC, is seeking an Applications Engineer with hands-on RF test experience to join our team. You will test, debug, and tune RF front ends and related boards, supporting design and marketing during RFIC development.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and about one year of RF design/testing experience, plus familiarity with VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters and DMMs.

DUTIES: Test and Debug RF front Ends and Filters for various RF parameters in the lab. Perform tuning on RF Front Ends and Cascaded EVBs by implementing matching networks. This includes working with and/or the understanding of RF design or testing, circuits and systems; Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies, matching networks, PCB assembly and design tools; and using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Digital, and Multimeter (DMM) etc. Also, responsibilities to include supporting Tier 1 customers and work on customer reference boards and testing. Work with Design and Marketing teams during RFIC development. Prepare and provide necessary technical documentation and support for ongoing and released products. Participate in new product development activities and provide feedback.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, and 1 year of experience or an internship to involve: (1) understanding of RF design or testing, circuits and systems; (2) knowledge of Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies, matching networks, PCB assembly and design tools; and (3) experience using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Digital, and Multimeter (DMM) etc.
