Job Summary:

Join our team to help Arizonans thrive! DES is seeking an experienced Applications Developer Senior/Lead to manage and maintain databases supporting IT applications and systems. Responsibilities include managing SQL Ml, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with development teams for data management and governance.
2. Ensure database performance and security, monitor systems, and perform backups and troubleshooting.
3. Design, implement, and administer databases, including disaster recovery plans.
4. Perform database migrations and performance tuning.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Deep understanding of data models, system interfaces, and technical architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL, especially on Azure Platform, PostgreSQL, and Vector Databases.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot and optimize database systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years managing cloud-based SQL Server databases.
• Microsoft certifications in Azure Data Fundamentals and Azure Database Administrator.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License and fingerprint clearance card.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Successful background and reference checks, E-Verify compliance.
