Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Azure SQL and SQL Server databases, including advanced query writing, stored procedure optimization, indexing, and triggers.
• Lead database projects, troubleshoot database performance issues, and ensure scalability and performance of data systems.
• Maintain and support Microsoft Azure App Services and C#/.NET applications using Visual Studio and ASP.NET .
• Build and maintain AI agents (stateful, tool-using, multi-agent systems) capable of reasoning, planning, executing tasks, and integrating with other systems and humans.
• Implement prompt engineering and simple RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) pipelines; leverage Microsoft OpenAI framework and AI-assisted development tools (Copilot/Claude).
• Mentor junior developers, write technical documentation, and participate in Agile development processes.
• Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD and project workflows; develop and maintain testing frameworks, test libraries, and test environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience in SQL, web development, and analysis, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with Azure SQL, SQL Server, advanced SQL query optimization, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in .NET development using C# and Visual Studio; experience with ASP.NET for UI work.
• Experience with Azure App Services and Azure DevOps.
• Experience building AI agents, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and familiarity with Microsoft OpenAI framework; experience with Copilot/Claude is noted.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Python scripting, OOP concepts, and multiple development platforms and DBMS.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, testing, debugging, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to learn new languages, APIs, and platforms quickly and to synthesize feedback.

Notes
