What is the role about?

Analytik Jena US, part of the Endress+Hauser Group, seeks a Chemical Analysis Applications & Service Engineer to join our Midwest team. The position is based out of Chicago, IL or other large Midwest hubs.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform preventative maintenance, service, installations, and chemistry applications on instruments at customer sites; conduct IQ/OQ on ICP-MS, ICP-OES, EA, and TOC analytical instruments.
• Diagnose instruments remotely and via phone support.
• Provide customer training and run chemistry samples to support sales.
• Cover primarily the central and western regions; other regions as needed.

Qualifications:

You will need:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biological sciences, or engineering (e.g., Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering).
• At least 2 years of experience servicing chemical analysis instruments.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform instrument maintenance and repairs.
• Willingness to travel overnight (~55-70%).

Preferred:

• Experience with ICP-MS and/or ICP-OES.
• Willing to train lab chemists with ICP user experience.
• Knowledge of IQOQ, GMP, and GLP is a plus.
