Job summary

EPES Logistics Services in Greensboro, NC seeks an Applications Analyst to provide Tier 1 support for transportation management and brokerage applications, Power BI, EDI, and API integrations. This entry-level role builds technical depth in McLeod PowerBroker, Power BI, and integration tools, with opportunities to grow into broader enterprise applications responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, business analytics, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications or comparable work history in a similar field will also be considered
• A troubleshooting instinct and the willingness to dig into data, logs, and transaction detail rather than pass a problem along
• Analytical aptitude and the discipline to write things down
• Foundational SQL capability, or a credible path to it
• Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and represent their requirements accurately
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to hold several priorities at once without dropping one
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to learn, take responsibility, and work independently once pointed in the right direction

Responsibilities

• Own Tier 1 support for applications and fix issues end-to-end where possible
• Triage and escalate only when necessary with full context and reproduction steps
• Troubleshoot EDI and API integration failures and coordinate with partners to resolution
• Gather requirements, execute test plans, and document results clearly
• Build SQL queries and develop data/model understanding to support analysts and developers
• Help maintain system documentation and user guides
• Assist customer service with customer-facing application issues as needed
