Endeavor Health is seeking an Applications Analyst II to implement and support an assigned portfolio of clinical applications, focusing on timely incident closure and project delivery. You will mentor junior staff while growing your technical skills and staying current with industry best practices.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, perform testing, and help ensure reliable operations across inpatient and ambulatory teams, including non-Epic applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, health informatics or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting or related industries.
• Experience maintaining 3rd party applications.
• Ability to translate complex technical terms into understandable terms for all customer groups.
• Mentor and educate junior team members; strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, document, implement and test software/applications to meet user workflow requirements.
• Monitor and resolve issues for enterprise applications; serve as escalation point for juniors.
• Collaborate with vendors and senior analysts to resolve issues and plan enhancements.
• Lead testing activities (functional, unit, user acceptance) for portfolio applications.
• Lead small to medium projects; support larger projects as a workflow SME per PMO processes.
• Design reports and presentations on project activities and results.
• Translate business requirements into build specifications with stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with trends and innovations in relevant technologies.
• Assist in mentoring junior team members and cross-team collaboration.

Hourly Pay Range

$37.85 - $58.67 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Full Time, Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00- 5:00pm

Required Travel: local travel to other sites will be required as needed.

Job Summary

As an Application Analyst II at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting an assigned application portfolio with a focus on timely closure of incidents/requests. You will be leading small to medium projects, translating business needs into technical specifications and partnering with stakeholders on strategic initiatives. You will assist in mentoring junior team members while continuing to grow your technical skillset. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to remain updated on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices. This individual will support a portfolio of clinical apps across inpatient and ambulatory teams, maintaining the continued health and operations of non-Epic applications.

What you will do

Configure, document, implement and test software/application solutions to meet the workflow requirements of the end users withing foundational system constraints.

Actively monitors and resolves issues for enterprise applications, including serving as an escalation point for junior team members, in a timely manner.

Collaborates with vendors and/or senior analyst to resolve issues, support upgrades and plan for enhancements for assigned portfolio.

Leads functional, unit and user acceptance testing activities for applications in the portfolio ensuring successful go live events for new system go lives, upgrades, patches or enhancements.

Lead small to medium sized projects and support large or enterprise level projects as a workflow subject matter expert following PMO defined processes.

Design reports and prepare presentations on project/team activities and results as requested.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements/priorities and translate/document them into build specifications.

Works with Level 1 teams and cross functional groups (e.g., technical teams) to reduce repeat issues, support optimization and enhance system efficiencies.

Serve as a resource for other team members including mentoring junior team members and collaboration across teams.

Stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations in relevant technologies.

What you will need

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, health informatics or a related field.

Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience relevant to assigned portfolio in a healthcare setting or related industries.

Prior experience maintaining 3rd party applications.

Unique or Preferred Skills: Able to communicate and translate complex technical terms into understandable simple terms for all customer groups. Must be able to work independently and in a team setting, possess excellent verbal, written, customer service and project management skills. Serves as key point person for technical and operation leadership for problem resolution and project management. Able to mentor and educate junior team members. Utilizes effective analytical and troubleshooting skills with minimum assistance. Continually seeks to utilized technology to improve workflows/systems and procedures/procedures. Ability to resolve complex problems where precedent may not exist. Embraces a culture of continuous improvement. Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Experience maintaining clinical non-epic applications, i.e. Provation/Obix/Neruoworks/SentrySuite/Polysmith (or similar).
