Job summary

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a talented Application Validation Engineer to join the testing team at our San Jose headquarters.

You will work with BIOS and design teams to test and validate storage components, systems, and third-party storage components, resolving hardware and software issues as part of a collaborative effort. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in enterprise storage and strong testing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 1 year of working experience in hardware and storage validation environment.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture.
• Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking.
• Strong sense of team work and a good team player, strong communication skills in both speaking and writing.
• Knowledge and experience of storage performance benchmarks, tuning, and automation tool.

Responsibilities

• Perform storage components, storage system, and all-flash storage testing.
• Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing.
• Develop and validate newest storage solution for storage platforms with respect to industry standards.
• Evaluate all of the storage components and storage systems testing.
• Conceptualize, plan and execute the new storage design and development of test plan.
• Perform storage system and its component level analysis, definition, testing, performance debugging, optimization and documentation.

Job Summary

Salary Range
$90,000 - $105,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
