Job summary

ExamWorks is seeking an Application Support Specialist to join our Information Systems team. This 100% remote role operates during standard business hours, preferably in EST or CST timezones.

You will liaise between service desks, programmers, customers, and staff to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across our software and systems. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree preferred, 3+ years of application support experience, and strong MS Windows expertise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in application support or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of the MS Windows platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to business users by investigating, validating and resolving reported issues.
• Manage deployment of integrated business systems including enterprise fax, transcription and dictation.
• Create end-user documentation and instructions for software solutions and maintain documentation as system changes dictate.
• Utilize internal software systems to provide support to our business units.
• Provide assistance as needed in migrating new acquisitions onto our software platform.
• Identify, analyze and document defects or inconsistencies in application functionality, user interface, output and performance.
• Perform basic application testing to help ensure quality software releases.
• Work closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction is achieved.
• Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams in order to aid project scope, manage budgets and ensure effective rollout and training of new technologies.
• Ensure and promote effective and efficient utilization of company resources.
• Participate in development of long range planning for new projects and programs.
• Maintain all standards of compliance.
• Provide advice, training and technical support for various projects as required.

This will be 100% remote Monday - Friday standard business hours, preferably EST or CST timezones.

The Application Support Specialist is an active member of the Information Systems team, working closely with members from every department to ensure all staff and clients are experiencing positive results with our software and related systems. This position works as a liaison between the Service Desk, Programming Team, Customers, and Employees to effectively troubleshoot, investigate and resolve complex technical issues in the most efficient way possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years related experience in application support; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge in an MS Windows platform required.
• Insurance or healthcare industry experience preferred.
