Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking an Application Support Specialist to join the Data & Development team within the Information Technology organization. This role supports internal and external end-users with complex enterprise application related issues across DC/WMS environments, resolving installation, usage, performance, availability, and user education challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provides application support for DC operations, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related applications.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves WMS production issues impacting warehouse operations, including root cause analysis.
  • Supports minor WMS configuration, system integrations, reporting, and documentation as needed.
  • Develops an understanding of DC operational processes and works with Operations to identify system issues, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with Manhattan Associates products (WMOS/SCPP, SCALE, Manhattan Active) and/or Softeon SCM is a plus.
  • Provides excellent customer service and support to technical and non-technical end-users for complex, business-related issues.
  • Evaluates, troubleshoots, and solves a wide range of problems across standard and non-standard systems, applying sound technical judgment.
  • Collaborates with other IT teams to restore service quickly.
  • Escalates complex issues to senior members when appropriate, documenting findings and steps taken.
  • Performs knowledge base contributions with clear documentation.

As a member of the Data & Development team within the Information Technology organization, the Application Support Specialist, supports internal and external end-users with complex enterprise application related issues. This role resolves complex technical problems surrounding installation, usage, system performance, system availability, and user education/training.


Responsibilities


  • Provides application support for Distribution Center (DC) operations, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related applications.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves WMS production issues impacting warehouse operations, including performing root cause analysis and coordinating with Operations and other IT teams.

  • Supports minor WMS configuration, system integrations, reporting, and documentation as needed.

  • Develops an understanding of DC operational processes and works closely with Operations users to identify system issues, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Experience with Manhattan Associates products (WMOS/SCPP, SCALE, Manhattan Active) and/or Softeon SCM is a plus

  • Provides excellent customer service and support to technical and non-technical end-users for complex, business-related technical issues.

  • Evaluates, troubleshoots, and solves a wide range of problems across standard and non-standard systems, applying sound technical judgment to ensure solutions are practical and thorough.

  • Collaborates with other IT teams and functions to restore service as quickly and effectively as possible.

  • Escalates particularly complex issues to senior members of the support team or other IT teams as appropriate, ensuring communication of your findings, steps taken to resolve, steps to reproduce, and any other relevant information.

  • Participates in root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying problems.

  • Configures, maintains, and updates a wide range of enterprise software applications, in addition to internally developed applications and interfaces.

  • Studies and documents specific business and system requirements, and plans, schedules, and coordinates efforts to install/upgrade various applications.

  • Serves a key role in providing technical expertise for product evaluation, new deployments, and updates.

  • Follows established processes and procedures to log, track, and complete assigned tasks on time and with great attention to detail.

  • Contributes to the IT knowledgebase by writing and peer reviewing articles that clearly and fully document team findings, workarounds, known issues, etc.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management.


Qualifications


  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred, will consider comparable work experience.

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Entry level professional with limited or no prior experience.

  • Focuses on learning professional skills and role-specific knowledge through on-the-job training and experiences.
