Job summary

Foxconn in Santa Clara is seeking an Application Support Engineer to manage day-to-day support and performance of enterprise applications, ensuring stability, reliability, and operational efficiency. This role oversees advanced problem resolution and works with Global Support Teams to align IT services with business objectives.

Required are a BS in CS/IT/CE and a minimum of 3 years in application support, with experience in ticketing platforms and SQL.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/IT/CE) is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support or related IT roles.
Experience with ticketing platforms and SQL is required.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate First- and Second-Level Application Support teams and manage shift coverage.
Monitor incident lifecycle and ensure effective ITSM processes.
Meet SLAs by tracking response/resolution times and system availability.
Analyze incidents to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.
Document incidents and maintenance in the knowledge base and ticketing system.
Suggest process improvements and drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
Provide SQL support and production application assistance with cross-functional teams.
Escalate to third-level support as needed and coordinate with stakeholders.
Provide on-site support for critical incidents and restore services quickly.
Train and mentor Application Support personnel for ongoing growth.
