Job summary

Flint Hills Resources in Wichita, Kansas seeks an Application Support Analyst to troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring the reliability of our critical business applications. You will engage with IT teams and contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring, alerts, and knowledge bases.

You will participate in on-call rotations and help advance AI-driven support workflows, aiming to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency while growing toward technical leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting applications with complex integrations (event-based, APIs).
• Experience in SQL and basic coding capabilities (PowerShell, Python or similar).
• Interest in leveraging AI technologies or building AI agents/workflows that automate processes.
• Experience partnering effectively with IT and non-IT stakeholders and articulating business impact.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and be a trusted ally to customers.
• Be the escalation point to other analysts to troubleshoot complex issues and brainstorm solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to drive permanent solutions, monitor and improve alerts and logging.
• Ensure SLAs are met and alerts are in place to detect anomalies affecting business SLAs.
• Leverage AI agents/workflows to enhance support and maintain knowledge bases.
• Pursue improvements to customer experience, efficiency, and data reliability.
• Participate in the on-call rotation (2 weekdays every 2 weeks, 1 weekend every 6 weeks).
