Application Specialist - Denver Territory

Job Overview

Apply now for the role of Application Specialist in the Denver Territory. This is a full-time, remote position with travel requirements, posted 29 days ago by GWS Tool Group in the Sales department. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, the role involves managing accounts and generating new opportunities by understanding customer needs in metalworking and educating customers, prospects, and distributors about GWS Tool Group's products and capabilities.

Responsibilities
  1. Schedule appointments and meet with existing customers to review applications and identify opportunities.
  2. Conduct sales presentations and visit customers regularly.
  3. Liaise with customers regarding pricing, services, and product launches.
  4. Develop prospect accounts and increase revenue through partnerships.
  5. Update customers on product modifications and enhancements.
  6. Attend training and departmental meetings to stay informed about new products and procedures.
  7. Represent the company professionally at conferences and trade shows.
  8. Utilize marketing data and sales tools to maximize effectiveness.
  9. Organize and participate in joint sales calls with distributors.
  10. Prepare sales and marketing reports and manage expense accounts.
  11. Maintain and update customer contact information.
  12. Coordinate with inside sales to provide product quotes.
  13. Follow up with leads and ensure complete customer profiles are maintained.
Qualifications
  1. 1-3 years of manufacturing experience, particularly in Milling, Turning, Grooving.
  2. Knowledge of tooling and manufacturing processes.
  3. Experience assisting customers with processing parts and selecting appropriate tools.
  4. High regard for job shop experience.
  5. Ability to advise on speeds and feeds for materials.
  6. Experience in designing custom tools is a plus.
  7. Experience managing current customers and developing new accounts.
  8. Degree in sales, marketing, or related field is preferred.
