Job description

We're looking for someone who's happiest with their hands on an instrument, running samples, figuring out why something isn't working, and explaining what they found in a way that actually helps the customer.

KPM Analytics makes the instruments and software that food, agriculture, and industrial companies rely on to check quality and keep their processes running right. This role sits right in the middle of our lab and our sales team. You'll be the person who proves, with real data, that our equipment does what we say it does.

You'll spend about half your time in our Westborough lab and the other half visiting customers, plants, food processing facilities, and university labs across North America.

What You'll Actually be Doing
  • Running sample analysis in the lab and writing up clear reports on what you find
  • Demoing our instruments (AMS, Chopin, Unity Scientific lines) so customers can see them in action
  • Helping customers validate and transfer methods without headaches
  • Traveling to customer sites for demos, training, and troubleshooting
  • Backing up the sales team when technical questions come up, objections, competitor comparisons, that kind of thing
  • Keeping good notes in Salesforce so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Passing along what you learn from customers to our product team
  • Helping train new folks as the team grows
What We're Hoping You Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry, food science, or something related (an advanced degree is a nice‑to‑have, not a must)
  • Some experience in applications support, ideally in scientific instrumentation or food, and a comfort level working hands‑on with lab equipment
  • The ability to explain technical stuff to people who aren't technical, without talking down to them
  • You're organized, you don't rattle easily when priorities shift, and you like working with people as much as you like working with instruments
The Practical Stuff
  • Full‑time, exempt
  • Reports to the Country Manager, North America
  • Based at our Westborough, MA headquarters, with up to 50% travel
    • starts onsite, goes hybrid after training - Must be able to commute to the site

KPM Analytics is an equal opportunity employer; we mean it, and we want people from all kinds of backgrounds on this team.
