Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne is seeking Software Engineer for Application Software to own critical applications that accelerate launch vehicle production and Starlink operations. You will join a team designing systems used in spacecraft, Starship manufacturing, and global Starlink services.

The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and collaboration with engineers across the company to move toward mission goals at a rapid pace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software experience.
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong foundation in software design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
• Create new applications to improve operations.
• Build prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Deep dive into users’ problems to create efficient solutions.
