Job summary

WRITER is seeking a security engineer to build the security foundations for our AI platform at enterprise scale. You will partner with engineering teams to embed security into code from day one and design secure architectures for new features.

You will tackle threat modeling, automate security controls across CI/CD, and stay ahead of AI/ML threats in a fast-growing startup environment; hybrid work from NYC, SF, or Seattle offices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on application security engineering in large-scale production systems.
• Ability to read and review code across multiple languages and understand security implications.

Responsibilities

• Build security into the DNA of our AI platform with threat modeling sessions and secure architectures.
• Own and evolve the application security program, including SAST/DAST in CI/CD pipelines and security code reviews.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish secure coding standards and reusable security patterns.
• Design and recommend security features to protect customer environments and data.
• Integrate AI agents to boost security velocity and mitigate risk proactively.
• Lead security assessments and penetration testing across apps, AI services, and APIs, guiding remediation at scale.
• Design security controls for data pipelines, model training environments, and customer-facing AI agents.
