Job summary

Bally's Intralot, a leading iGaming and lottery solutions provider, seeks an Application Security Engineer to strengthen security across our software lifecycle.

You will collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps to implement SAST/DAST, SCA, and WAF controls, and support container scanning and vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, InfoSec, or related technology field.
• 3+ years in Application Security, Cyber Security, or DevSecOps.
• Hands-on with SAST, DAST, SCA, WAF, and vulnerability management tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern architectures (APIs, microservices, containers, cloud).
• Experience with at least one programming language (Python/Java/JS/C#).
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and ASVS.
• Container image scanning tools (Trivy/Clair) are a plus.
• Certifications such as GWAPT, GWEB, eWPT, AZ-500, SC-200, CEH desirable.
• Excellent Greek and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security across the SDLC with development, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Perform SAST/DAST testing and assist remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Configure and optimize security platforms (SAST, DAST, SCA, WAF, API tools).
• Support application penetration testing and coordinate remediation with developers.
• Liaise between testers and development teams for communication and closure of issues.
• Assist risk assessments for web apps, APIs, and microservices.
• Contribute to security automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Support container security, including image scanning and policy enforcement.

Job description

To meet our current corporate needs, we are looking to bring to our team an Application Security Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Support the integration of security across the SDLC, collaborating closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Perform static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST) and assist in the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Configure, administer, and optimize application security platforms (SAST, DAST, SCA, WAF, API security tools).
• Support application penetration testing, analyze findings, and coordinate remediation plans with developers.
• Act as a liaison between penetration testers and development teams, ensuring efficient communication, tracking, and closure of issues.
• Assist in risk assessments for web applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Contribute to security automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Support container security, including container image scanning, vulnerability identification, and policy enforcement.

Your profile should include:

• University or College Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Software Engineering, or a related technology field.
• 3+ years of experience in Application Security, Cyber Security, or DevSecOps.
• Hands‑on familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA, WAF, and vulnerability management tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern application architectures (APIs, microservices, containers, cloud).
• Experience with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, ASVS, and application security best practices.
• Experience with container image scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Clair, or similar) is considered an asset.
• Certifications such as GWAPT, GWEB, eWPT, AZ‑500, SC‑200, CEH or equivalent are desirable.
• Excellent command of Greek and English, written and spoken.
