Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Application Security Engineer in Charlotte, NC for a 6–month contract. The role focuses on implementing and supporting SAST, SCA, DAST and CI/CD integration using GitLab & Jenkins.

The engineer will work with AI-based scanning, container and cloud management, and automation using Java, Groovy and Python, aiming to fortify application security across the pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and supporting SAST, SCA, DAST in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AI-based security scanning and LLM-driven source code analysis.
• Automation experience using Java, Groovy and Python.
• Experience with container/cloud management and security integrations.

Job description

This Application Security Engineer role is a 6-Month Contract with a client located in Charlotte NC

Pay Range: $60/hr. - $65/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

This Application Security Engineer will implement, and support solutions/technologies used for Static code analysis (SCA) & Static Application security testing (SAST) using industry leading tools. AppSec for AI using LLM based scanning of source code, update of AI skills, frameworks, security testing and application threat modeling. Lead initiatives to improve application security detection program by fine tuning tools, automating processes and improving integration of SAST, SCA and DAST tools in GitLab & Jenkins CI/CD pipeline. Manage and support docker containers, HELM charts, Rancher, cloud and automation with Java, Groovy and Python scripts. Look for ways to optimize security processes and recommend opportunities and solutions for improvement and automation. Support and participate in incident response and technical investigations as needed. Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies.

• Experience triaging application security vulnerabilities, assessing severity level, false positive and establishing risk associated with vulnerability based on environment.
