Job summary

Nulixir, a nano-biotechnology start-up in Austin, TX, is seeking an Application Scientist to bridge analytical science, nanotechnology, and customer needs. You will design and optimize formulations, build demos, translate data into customer value, and guide products from concept to beverages.

Join a fast-growing team working with Nusomes platform, CoQ10, vitamin D, nootropics, and botanicals. Travel occasionally to client sites and conferences; share insights through presentations and training;

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field strongly preferred.
• 3–7+ years in applications, formulation, or technical support in food & beverage or nutraceuticals.
• Hands-on formulation of emulsions, dispersions or nano-encapsulation is highly valued.
• Strong ability to communicate complex science to commercial teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Translate technology into practical applications and product concepts.
• Design and develop prototype formulations (RTDs, shots, concentrates) using Nusomes platform.
• Lead customer-facing technical discussions and present data and options.
• Prepare technical reports, data summaries, and presentations for clients.
• Collaborate with analytical, nanotech, and commercial teams to iterate prototypes.
