Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Indianapolis is seeking an Engineer to own and drive Windows application packaging, testing, and deployment. You will create silent install packages (MSI/EXE/MSIX), develop PowerShell scripts for install and automation, and ensure compatibility across Windows 10/11 devices.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to licensing and security standards while supporting OS imaging and deployment initiatives. On-site role based in Indianapolis, IN.

Qualifications

• Experience packaging, repackaging, testing and deploying Windows applications using standard tools.
• Proficiency creating silent installation packages (MSI, EXE, MSIX, IntuneWin, App-V).
• Developing PowerShell scripts for installation, configuration, detection, remediation, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Package, repackage, test, and deploy Windows applications using industry-standard packaging tools.
• Create, customize, and maintain silent installation packages (MSI, EXE, MSIX, IntuneWin, App-V, etc.).
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for application installation, configuration, detection logic, remediation, and automation.
• Perform application compatibility testing across multiple Windows operating systems and device configurations.
• Troubleshoot installation, deployment, configuration, and compatibility issues.
• Build and maintain packaging documentation, deployment guides, and SOPs.
• Support Windows OS deployment and imaging for Windows 10/11 devices.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Package, repackage, test, and deploy Windows applications using industry-standard packaging tools.
• Create, customize, and maintain silent installation packages (MSI, EXE, MSIX, IntuneWin, App-V, etc.).
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for application installation, configuration, detection logic, remediation, and automation.
• Perform application compatibility testing across multiple Windows operating systems and device configurations.
• Troubleshoot application installation, deployment, configuration, and compatibility issues.
• Build and maintain application packaging documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
• Support Windows OS deployment and imaging activities for Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
• Coordinate directly with application requestors, business stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements, identify technical dependencies, and provide deployment updates.
• Validate application packages in test environments through JIRA testing workflows prior to production deployment.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing, security standards, and enterprise deployment policies.
• Collaborate with endpoint management teams to support application lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 a year
