Job summary

HARTING Technology Group is seeking a Manager of Application Engineering in a hybrid role based in Elgin, IL. You will lead a team of Field Application Engineers and senior technical consultants, delivering timely application support to customers and distributors while guiding design-in projects and ensuring KPI alignment with company priorities.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and travel readiness up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related technical discipline or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience including team leadership.
• Experience leading distributed technical teams and supporting complex design-in programs is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 20-30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the North America Application Engineering team, including Field Application Engineers and senior technical consultants.
• Provide timely, high-quality technical and application support for customers, distributors, and Sales.
• Develop the team, prioritize resources, and ensure KPIs are met in line with strategic priorities.
• Establish scalable knowledge-transfer systems and oversee playbooks, guides, onboarding resources, and tools.
• Mentor and develop talent, coordinate cross-training, and align with product management and engineering teams.
