ITT Inc. in Stafford, TX is seeking an Application Engineering Co-op for Spring/Summer 2027. This full-time 40-hour weekly internship offers hands-on project work in mechanical and industrial engineering domains, with exposure to pump design and performance analysis.

You will assist with pump selection, read customer specifications, participate in process improvements, and complete Pumps 101 training while developing foundational skills for a career in engineering.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior undergraduate student pursuing Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Co-op requires full-time commitment for January – August 2027.
• Exposure to pump engineering practices and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Support centrifugal pump selection and assist with proposal generation.
• Review and interpret customer specifications.
• Develop understanding of pump mechanics and overall pump operation.
• Participate in special projects focused on process improvements.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing processes related to pump production.
• Complete training in Pump Fundamentals (Pumps 101).
• Learn to read and interpret pump curves.
• Build knowledge of pump anatomy and common pump symptoms.
• Develop understanding of pump hydraulics and system curves.

Location: Stafford, TX

Academic Schedule: January – August 2027 (full-time, 40 hours per week)

During your ITT co-op, you will conduct various engineering projects in one or more areas of Engineering. Co-op's will also have exposure to and learn various aspects of Engineering practices in these areas. Our ITT co-op's also participate in our summer Career Readiness programming which provides professional development and networking opportunities that will equip you with the skill sets required to successfully transition from college to career.
