Job Description

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the design and implementation of assigned products, taking ideas from user stories to production independently.
• Manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within your role.
• Have observability experience, Python coding skills, and automation solution experience; data science background is a plus.

How You’ll Do It

• Analyze, design, code, test, and deploy new features with high quality, understanding the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor early-career engineers and guide their technical growth.
• Guide architecture and design decisions to achieve key results.
• Remediate issues and proactively design for high reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and data scientists to meet commitments.
• Contribute to technology communities and uphold IT standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in IT or software engineering.
• Proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale (for internal applicants).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools in cloud environments.
• Skills in configuring metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Knowledge of SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, and data analysis.
• Python coding and automation experience.
• Experience leading process improvements.

Additional Details

• Remote work eligible within the U.S.

• Salary range: $89,000 - $150,200 plus incentives.
