Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is seeking an Application Engineer in South Carolina to support automation and control growth. You will receive hands‑on training from experienced application engineers, gaining insights into automation solutions, energy audits, kitting and assembly, and on‑site engineering services.

The role targets emerging professionals eager to learn and contribute to cutting‑edge technology solutions within a supportive, value‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Electrical engineering preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, drives and sensor setups is preferred.
• Customer service background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Industrial end user accounts, systems integrators, panel builders and OEM customers.
• Keep up with new product development and relay information to customers.
• Help the Account Manager develop new customer relationships.
• Drive automation and control growth including PLCs, drives, sensors and HMIs.
• Maintain vendor training including certification level courses.
• Conduct customer training on automation & control products.
• Attend training as required by Capital Electric.
• Perform other duties as required.

As an Application Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our sales team's efforts to drive Automation and Control growth. Responsibilities:
