Job summary

KODE Labs, headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a full-time Application Engineer to join our team. You’ll enable core features of KODE OS, ensure deployments meet client needs, and deliver value across projects.

You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Client Success to troubleshoot, design scalable workflows, and document solutions. A strong background in HVAC systems and Python helps you translate data into action.

Qualifications

• Experience in Smart Building, IoT, or software engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with FDD or building automation apps is a plus.
• Solid data analysis skills and ability to translate insights into action.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting (e.g., Python).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and client-facing teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or HVAC engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enable core applications and future KODE OS features.
• Identify and resolve deployment gaps or blockers; design custom workflows when needed.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Client Success teams.
• Interpret technical documentation to plan and execute application enablement.
• Troubleshoot complex challenges and ensure meaningful client results.
• Provide feedback to improve deployment standards and product capabilities.
• Support clients by ensuring applications are optimized and well-documented.
