Job summary

DELO Industrial Adhesives in the Greater Boston area seeks an experienced Application Engineer to drive customer-specific solutions from concept to full process integration.

You will identify technical solutions with Sales Engineering, support DELO Equipment Activities, and provide comprehensive technical support on-site, virtually, or by phone, collaborating across North America and with the German headquarters.

Qualifications

• Location in the Greater Boston Area or willingness to relocate.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree welcome.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical environment, ideally as an Application Engineer in adhesives or semiconductor/optics/microelectronics.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems independently and systematically.
• Adhesives experience not required—training at headquarters in Germany is provided.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex adhesive and equipment-related projects focused on semiconductor/ optics/ microelectronics markets.
• Develop customer-specific solutions through to full process integration.
• Identify and implement technical solutions with Sales Engineering.
• Support DELO Equipment Activities, including UV LED lamps and dispensing systems.
• Provide technical consultation to customers across North America, collaborating with Sales Engineers.
• Explore new technologies with Sales and Product Management and integrate into production processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and present results to stakeholders.
• Maintain close communication with DELO teams worldwide.
• Provide on-site, virtual, or phone-based technical support to sales engineers.

• Take responsibility for the development of customer‑specific solutions through to full process integration
• Identify and implement the right technical solutions for our customers in close collaboration with the Sales Engineering team
• Support and manage DELO Equipment Activities, including UV LED lamps and dispensing systems
• Drive our growth through excellent technical consultation of customers across North America, working hand‑in‑hand with Sales Engineers
• Systematically identify new technologies in cooperation with Sales and Product Management, and implement them into customers' production processes
• Conduct feasibility studies, derive appropriate follow‑up measures, and present results to internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain close communication with various DELO teams worldwide
• Provide comprehensive technical support to sales engineers — on‑site, virtually, or by phone

Your Skills:

• You are located in or willing to relocate to the Greater Boston Area (MA)
• Degree in Engineering, e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Material Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering , or a related technical field (Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree welcome)
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical environment — preferably as an Application Engineer in the adhesive or semiconductor/ optics/ micro electronics sector
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently and systematically
• Prior expertise in adhesives is not required — you will receive intensive and hands‑on training at our headquarters in Germany
• Willingness to travel as required (domestically and internationally)
