Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks an experienced engineer to develop and deploy BMS control software for new campus facilities. You will program Rockwell PLCs, create intuitive HMI interfaces, and perform on-site commissioning and testing.

You will validate field devices, write automation scripts, and ensure QAQC of PLC/SCADA code. Occasional travel up to 33% domestically and internationally is required, including long site deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field.
• 4+ years in Industrial Controls / Automation.
• Proficient in Rockwell PLCs and Studio5000.
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Managed Services by testing and resolving post-turnover issues.
• Assist in beta testing of new hardware/software to assess suitability for customer needs.
• Provision and manage servers or virtual machines to support project needs.
• Develop documentation for hardware/software installation guides.
• Perform QAQC checks on the PLC and SCADA code before initial delivery to the customer.

• It should be proficient in Rockwell PLCs and Studio5000 for PLC is a must.

• This work is to program machines, test before equipment shipping to project/work site for new buildings and then support onsite commissioning.


• Osha 10 Certification would be preferred due to the amounts of Electricity.
