Absolute Facility Solutions, LLC is seeking a remote Application Engineer to configure and provide technical support for IWMS solutions. This role requires 2-5 years of experience in application engineering or software support, strong skills in SQL Server, Java, and XML.

The Application Engineer is responsible for the configuration, customization, and technical support of IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management System) solutions for AbsoluteFS customers. This role focuses on hands‑on technical development, data work, integrations, and issue resolution throughout the implementation and post‑deployment lifecycle.
This position works closely with internal consultants, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions that meet business and operational needs.
Configure, customize, and deploy IWMS applications, including forms, views, workflows, and business rules.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Implement authentication settings, basic system parameters, and module configurations within the IWMS platform.
Support integrations using REST or SOAP APIs, SQL queries, and system‑to‑system data exchanges.
Perform data manipulation work including mapping, transformation, and quality validation.
Execute data migrations using SQL Server, ETL tools, or vendor‑provided utilities.
Participate in QA/UAT cycles, troubleshoot issues, and work with team members to resolve defects.
Investigate and resolve Tier 1–2 technical support requests for IWMS applications.
Analyze system errors, data inconsistencies, and configuration issues.
Collaborate with senior engineers on more complex integration or performance problems.
Recommend system enhancements that drive higher performance, usability, and adoption.
Assist customers in creating dashboards, metrics, or KPIs within the IWMS environment.
Help maintain data integrity across modules through routine checks and cleanup processes.
Contribute to user guides, configuration documentation, and internal knowledgebase content.
Provide occasional end‑user or system admin training sessions.
Participate in project planning meetings, technical design sessions, and code reviews as appropriate.
Support best practices in source control and development environment maintenance.
2–5 years of experience in a technical application engineering, system configuration, or software support role.
Strong proficiency in:
Experience performing data migration, transformation, or ETL tasks.
Familiarity with REST or SOAP APIs.
Ability to analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Hands‑on experience with Archibus or a comparable IWMS platform (Eptura, TRIRIGA, Planon, Accruent, etc.).
Understanding of workplace, facilities, or real‑estate management processes.
Experience with SaaS application configuration and support.
Exposure to workflow automation, business rules, and system integrations.
