Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an IT engineer to support enterprise mobility projects in a U.S. federal government environment.

You will plan, test, and execute migrations from VMware Workspace ONE/AirWatch to Microsoft Intune, and manage iOS/iPadOS and Android Enterprise devices. You will develop QA test plans, validate configurations and security policies, troubleshoot enrollment and deployment issues, and document findings.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in enterprise IT engineering, endpoint management, systems administration, application support, or related technical roles.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune in a production enterprise environment.
Experience managing iOS/iPadOS and Android Enterprise devices.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, applications, and security controls.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing structured QA test plans and test cases.
Experience supporting enterprise technology migrations, platform transitions, or large-scale configuration changes.
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, security groups, RBAC, and Conditional Access.

Responsibilities

Support planning, testing, execution, and validation of migrations from VMware Workspace ONE/AirWatch to Microsoft Intune.
Configure, test, and support iOS/iPadOS and Android Enterprise device management.
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, regression tests, and validation procedures.
Configure and validate device enrollment, Intune profiles, compliance policies, security policies, assignments, and access dependencies.
Package, deploy, test, and troubleshoot internally developed and third-party mobile applications.
Support application lifecycle activities, staged rollouts, assignments, configuration policies, and allow/block controls.
Validate shared-device, kiosk, and dedicated-device configurations.
Test automated remediation and compliance actions.
Support integration and validation with identity and security services including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, PKI, SCEP, certificates, and PIV/CAC technologies.

Job description

Validate device and application behavior after OS updates, releases, configuration changes, and security-policy changes
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing
Document defects, test results, configuration issues, remediation actions, and production-readiness findings
Troubleshoot enrollment, deployment, authentication, certificate, configuration, compliance, and connectivity issues
Support post-migration Tier 2/Tier 3 troubleshooting and incident resolution
Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configuration guides, test procedures, and knowledge-base articles
Support audit logging, compliance reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics
Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, identity, networking, application, service desk, and customer stakeholders

Requirements

Experience documenting defects and tracking issues using Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow
Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively within a structured U.S. Federal Government environment
U.S. citizenship
Ability to satisfy customer background investigation/suitability requirements
Preferred: direct VMware Workspace ONE/AirWatch-to-Intune migration experience
Preferred: Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, Android Enterprise, Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment, and Google Zero-Touch experience
Preferred: mobile application packaging and enterprise application distribution experience
Preferred: PKI, SCEP, certificate lifecycle management, and PIV/CAC authentication experience
Preferred: kiosk, dedicated, or shared-device environment experience
Preferred: Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, PowerShell, or endpoint-management automation experience
Preferred: endpoint-management integration with SIEM/security-monitoring solutions
Preferred: federal civilian customer support experience
Preferred: Public Trust or comparable federal suitability investigation
