Job summary

MacLean Power Systems' ITEC division seeks a lead to steer the Application Engineering team, providing technical support to customers, the Customer Service and Engineering groups.

The role involves developing product knowledge, training engineers and sales staff, and coordinating with internal departments to meet client requirements and support product roadmaps. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering preferred.
• Experience with utility metering or relaying applications preferred.
• Experience with electric utility or electrical equipment manufacturers in the power utility space.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain proficiency in ITEC product and application knowledge.
• Provide technical training to clients or internal users.
• Train Application Engineers to work independently with customers' engineering groups.
• Mentor and monitor Application Engineers.
• Train Sales Representatives and visit target customers to support product approvals.
• Analyze and interpret customer requirements to help provide accurate quotations and ensure profitable growth.
• Communicate with Channel Partners, Sales Channels, Engineering, and Quality Departments.
• Support industry events and technical conferences as needed.
• Gather competitive information to assist Product Management with future roadmaps.
• Assist Quality with customer issues and concerns.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet organizational and client requirements.

Experience and Education

• Experience in utility metering or relaying applications is preferred.
• BS in Electrical Engineering, or Power Engineering Experience.
• Experience with electric utility or electrical equipment manufacturer in the power utility space.
