Application Engineer - Large Projects & Strategic Infrastructure
Location: United States
Welcome to the Team
Join Nexans' Large Projects team and help support the rapid growth of some of the most ambitious electrical infrastructure developments in the United States. Our immediate focus is the rapidly expanding Data Center market, including hyperscale and colocation developments, with a broader strategic focus on semiconductor facilities, battery gigafactories and other mission‑critical infrastructure projects.
As Nexans strengthens its technical presence in North America, you will play an important role in helping customers develop safe, reliable, efficient and sustainable electrical infrastructure. Working alongside our Global and Key Account Managers, engineering teams and product experts, you'll bring together deep electrical engineering expertise and customer engagement to influence major projects from their earliest design stages.
Getting a Flying Start
As an Application Engineer - Large Projects & Strategic Infrastructure, you will become a trusted technical partner to customers and to our commercial teams. You'll work directly with end users, EPCs, engineering consultancies, contractors and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle - from early concept and specification through design, project execution, installation and commissioning. You'll provide first‑level technical engineering support, independently addressing customer requirements through electrical calculations, cable selection and sizing, design and specification reviews, and technical optimization. For more complex requirements, you'll work closely with Nexans' specialist engineering, Product Management and R&D teams to develop the right solution.
This is not purely a design‑engineering position. You'll combine strong technical capability with customer engagement, helping influence specifications, solve engineering challenges and position Nexans as a trusted technical partner on major strategic projects.
