Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. in Austin, TX is seeking an Application Engineering Intern to help design and deliver customer-focused demonstrations and Proofs of Concept using NI hardware and software solutions.

You will work with Application Engineers, Sales, Product Marketing, and R&D to address technical challenges across Life Sciences, Semiconductor, Energy, and Industrial markets, gaining hands-on experience with test, measurement, FPGA, and data acquisition technologies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and data acquisition hardware.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, Python, C, C++, or C#.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building customer-facing demos and PoCs showcasing Emerson T&M solutions.
• Support Engineers by evaluating customer needs and selecting hardware/software.
• Develop demo systems using NI hardware/software platforms.
• Research new technologies and industry trends to fuel opportunities.
• Troubleshoot issues in demos and PoCs.
• Collaborate with Sales, PM, Marketing, and Engineering on opportunities.
• Join customer meetings and training to support engagements.
• Document architectures, findings, and best practices for future use.
