FLASH Technology Group is seeking an Application Engineer III with TS/SCI polygraph clearance to join our Secure the Enterprise initiative in Maryland. The role focuses on automating security evaluations, monitoring, and operational support across multiple teams.

You will contribute to a 24/7 watchfloor and work with cloud and on-premise systems to ensure continuous availability. Responsibilities include monitoring system health, troubleshooting dataflows, and maintaining performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in monitoring/watchfloor ops with Grafana, Kibana, Splunk or CloudWatch.
• Linux system administration: check health, start/stop/restart services, review logs, reboot servers.
• AWS experience: EC2 health checks and basic operational troubleshooting.
• Dataflow/tools: NiFi, Cribl, Kafka, Logstash and data ingestion monitoring.
• DevOps: Terraform, Ansible, GitLab Pipelines, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data reliability and accuracy; maintain application systems.
• Troubleshoot proactively; implement changes to configuration or code as needed.
• Track metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts to prevent downtime.
• Support watchfloor operations; identify service degradation and escalate.
