Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of engineering experience in motors, HVACR, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product specifications from customer and market needs.
  • Design and support electric motors, including electrical/mechanical aspects.
  • Perform analysis, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Create/maintain BOMs, drawings, specs, and docs.
  • Interpret tests and recommend improvements for performance/ reliability.
  • Resolve routine to moderate technical issues independently.
  • Manage engineering projects with limited supervision.
  • Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers.
  • Develop project schedules, test plans, and resource needs.
  • Support launches and transfer designs to production.
  • Share technical guidance with less experienced teammates.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and product recommendations.
  • Serve as technical resource for customers, sales, and internal teams.
  • Support product selection, application reviews, and troubleshooting.
  • Build strong customer relationships via proactive support.
  • Lead cost reduction, quality improvement, and product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing to resolve issues.
  • Support software testing, validation, and new platform development.
  • Suggest process/product improvements from data/feedback.
  • Operate lab equipment to test motor performance.
  • Read electrical diagrams, schematics, and drawings.

Job Summary

Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and internal teams to develop and support electric motor solutions from concept through production. Provide technical expertise to deliver scalable, cost-effective products while balancing performance, quality, schedule, and customer requirements. The Application Engineer II is an intermediate-level engineering professional responsible for independently managing routine to moderately complex projects and technical assignments. This role applies engineering principles and sound judgment to solve technical challenges, support new product development, and serve as a key technical resource for customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Engineering
  • Develop product specifications based on customer and market requirements.
  • Design and support electric motors, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Perform engineering analysis, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Create and maintain BOMs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Independently resolve routine and moderately complex technical issues.
Project & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Manage assigned engineering projects with limited supervision.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer teams.
  • Develop project schedules, test plans, and resource requirements.
  • Support new product launches and transfer designs into production.
  • Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with less experienced team members.
Customer & Business Support
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and product recommendations.
  • Serve as a technical resource for customers, sales, and internal teams.
  • Support product selection, application reviews, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive technical support.
Continuous Improvement & Product Support
  • Lead and support cost reduction, quality improvement, and product enhancement initiatives.
  • Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve product and process issues.
  • Support software testing, product validation, and new platform development.
  • Recommend process and product improvements based on data and operational feedback.
Lab & Technical Work
  • Operate laboratory equipment to test and evaluate electric motor performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience, preferably within electric motors, HVACR, or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and technical assignments independently.
Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to work independently and exercise engineering judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Effective project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
