SUMMARY
ANSYS, Inc. seeks Application Engineer II to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with customers to solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys’ business.
• Use advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features, with a focus on our Ansys Speos and Ansys Optics products.
• Lead/assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations.
• As a product expert with Ansys Speos, interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows;
• Analyze how to address customers’ requirements using Ansys products and platform;
• Articulate Ansys’ value proposition.
• Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features;
• Test new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems.
• Support Ansys field and digital marketing. Contribute to consulting services, conduct introductory and/or intermediate training classes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical, Optical, Manufacturing or Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering field of study.
• Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
• Knowledge of optical theory;
• experience with modeling of optical systems;
• experience in using commercial optics software tools: Ansys Speos, Ansys Zemax OpticStudio, Synopsys LucidShape, Synopsys LightTools, or Synopsys Code V;
• experience with at least one major CAD platform: CATIA, NX, or Creo;
• experience utilizing Engineering Software (CAE) in an Engineering Software Environment.
• Domestic travel required up to 25% of time.
• Additional work location information: This is a work from home opportunity. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere within the United States.
