Responsibilities:

The Applications Engineer I will be responsible for selecting appropriate technologies and equipment/components to develop technically sound and competitive proposals based on customer specifications.

The Applications Engineer I will be responsible for selecting appropriate technologies and equipment/components to develop technically sound and competitive proposals based on customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the sales team, engineers, customers and other stakeholder in establishing/defining job requirements and bid strategies
• Prepare equipment specifications and determine accurate costs for RFQ’s
• Extract necessary/relevant information from highly technical written specifications and other customer documents with some assistance. Information required includes process requirements, designs, guarantees, liabilities, regulatory and compliance codes
• Perform and interpret RO projections; analyze/size pumps and pipes for flow rates, pressure drops, etc. for water treatment equipment
• Create PFDs and P&IDs as needed
• Develop complete process designs and preliminary electrical/mechanical designs
• Create professional proposal packages for submittal to customers
• Provide pre/post sale technical support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Dealers and customers
• Work with engineering team to update design standards and procedures
• Answers questions and provide support throughout submittal, design and manufacturing
• Develop tools to streamline and standardize processes, costing, design, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, civil or mechanical engineering
• 3+ years’ experience including processing applications, hydro-mechanical process systems design, preferably with project up to $1M
• Technical internships/CO-OP experience if recent graduate
• Demonstrated experience with PFD development
• Experience with systems for process and drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, reverse osmosis processes and membrane filtration system applications strongly preferred

Target Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for competitive benefits, including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, disability benefits and 401(k).
