Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an HVS Application Engineer to own the quotation and negotiation process from RFQ inception to close. The role requires coordination with Field Sales, customers, and factories, plus deep knowledge of electrical machines and their applications.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 1–3 years in related roles, with strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills. Based in the US with potential field activities.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with quotation processes and pricing guidelines a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Field Sales, Customers, and factories effectively.

• Develop industry experience through research, conferences, and site visits.
• Review requests for quotations, specs, emails and calls.
• Lead quotation opportunities and obtain feedback from Sales or customers.
• Accurately receive and review purchase orders; generate order entry.
• Organize quotation and order documentation electronically and physically.

About the role

The HVS Application engineer is responsible and accountable for the WEG HVS negotiation process from inception of the RFQ to negotiation close out.

Primary Responsibilities

• Communicate with Field Sales Customers and factories effectively
• Demonstrates an understanding of the application the OEMs customer visits etc
• Develop industry experience periodicals internet research conference participation site visits etc
• Reviews request for quotations specifications emails phone calls etc
• Lead and takes ownership of the quotationopportunity by requesting feedback from Sales or directly from customers when appropriate
• Identify projectcustomer details vital for determining quotation strategy
• Compile an accurate quotation to customers of WEGs offering
• Ability to follow minimum pricing guidelines as established by management
• Ability to identify opportunities to management when alternate pricing is needed
• Accurately receive and review Purchase Order as needed
• Generate order entry material
• Organize all quotationorder documentation electronically and hard copies if needed
• Assist Project Coordinator Manager technically or commercially as needed

Education

Bachelors degree from a four year college or university or university program certificate or 2 to 4 years of related experience andor training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, training, proven capabilities and experience

• Knowledge training
• Proven capabilities in the Electric Machines industry in roles related to Application EngineeringTechnical experience and Knowledge of Electrical machines and their applicationsProficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint as well as OutlookExperience 1 to 3 years experience as Application Engineer in Electric Machines industry or relevant business experience
